Mixed CDs

So, my old college roommate (she lived with me for 4 years, poor soul), is getting married in Chicago next weekend. This is going to be THE swankiest event I've ever attended. The damn hotel has a DRESS CODE for chrissake! I have to take dress clothes for what will essentially be my vacation. Bleagh.

Anyway, I was instructed/requested to make a mixed cd for all the bridesmaids to listen to while we primp and prepare for the wedding. So, being me and being indecisive, I made two.

Here are the track lists.

Fight for Your Right Beastie Boys
Let’s Get it Started Black Eyed Peas

What do you think? How did I do? They're supposed to be high energy/fun cds. The Paul Westerberg song was a request from the bride, the rest is my stuff. I LOVE making mix cds. :-)

Hmmm

I had something I wanted to write about, yesterday, but then now that it's about 24 hours later, I can't for the life of me remember WHAT I wanted to say.

Young'En and I had a really good Valentine's Day last wk (on Friday, b/c I had P-T Conferences on the VDay itself). He cooked dinner (amazing--chicken parmesan from scratch, bruschetta, fried zucchini strips, baby potatoes and some yummy dessert. damn!) and then we went to see Music and Lyrics. Cute, formulaic, but cute. We (read: I) went karaoking afterward at a place called Choo Choo's. Fun.

However, I'm irritated now. I feel like I'm not high on Young'En's importance scale. As a girlfriend, I know that's my biggest struggle. I have a "center of the universe" complex. *sigh* But is it too much to ask that I feel like I'm important to you? Bleagh.

And, I have raging PMS. Double bleagh.

OH! Side note: the Johnny Mayer concert Sunday night was AMAZING! Totally worth browbeating my brother dear in to buying me the tickets. So wonderful. My god, Johnny boy can PLAY! And sing too. And, apparently el stupido Jessica Simpson was like, RIGHT by our seats, but I never noticed her. She was really good at playing incognito I guess. Yuck. But, man--if you're not a John Mayer fan, you are MISSING OUT!

Wasting time

It's Friday & I took the day off from work. So, I'm not TECHNICALLY playing hooky, but what I took the day off for--I'm not doing that anymore. So, I'm currently at my college's computer lab, "ripping" music from my cds to "burn" the songs onto my faboo mix cd.

That's not really wasting time, right? RIGHT!

So, I'm not good with things like being patient. I get paranoid and I have an overactive imagination and so being patient, when it comes to people calling me back, in particular?...NOT really happening. Young'En and I went out to the movies on Monday, and then we haven't really talked since. Granted, he's had finals and projects due this wk, but a person could at LEAST answer a text message, right? Oy! I just get this feeling that all of the sudden, interest has waned. WTF? I do NOT understand the male half of our species.

Huh...I thought I'd picked too much music for the cd. I only had 58 minutes. *rubbing hands together gleefully* Now I can pick MORE music!
