I don't what to title this post. I've decided that I hate Sundays most of all. I always end up feeling so melancholy on Sundays. It's the last day of the weekend, with only the promise of going back to work in the morning.
I'm at work right now. We came in to paint. The wall needs another coat (to be done sometime this week) & then we're done. As in the rest of work, Katrina & I work well together. The painting itself only took about an hour. Not too shabby.
I'm just in a funk today. I dyed my hair, which didn't help (well, it solved my roots problem, but I'm still feeling bleagh). I really just need to clean up my apt. But, being there is 1/2 my problem. I just feel sad & lonely.
I REALLY hate this long distance thing.
Since I don't want to make you all so whatever, that you stop coming back to read this, I'll leave you with the lyrics of one of my fave DMB songs: Grey Street. I feel it really fits my mood today.
Dave Matthews Band
Grey Street
Oh, look at how she listens
She says nothing of what she thinks
She just goes stumbling through her memories
Staring out onto Grey Street
And she thinks, "Hey,
How did I come to this?
I dreamed myself a thousand times around the world
But I can’t get out of this place”
There’s an emptiness inside her
And she’d do anything to fill it in
But all the colors mix together
to grey
And it breaks her heart
How she wishes it was differentShe prays to God most every night
And though she swears He doesn't listen
There's still a hope in her He might
She says, "I pray
Oh, but they fall on deaf ears
Am I supposed to take it all on myself
To get out of this place?"
Oh there’s a loneliness inside her
And she’d do anything to fill it in
And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now
It feels like cold blue ice in her heart
But the colors mix together
to grey
And it breaks her heart
Though a stranger speaks outside her door
He says take what you can from your dreams
Make them real as anything
It’ll take the work out of the courage
And she says, "Please,
There's a crazy man a creeping outside my door
I live on the corner of Grey Street
At the end of the world."
Oh there’s an emptiness inside her
And she’d do anything to fill it in
Though it’s red blood bleeding from her now
It’s more like cold blue ice in her heart
She feels like kicking out all the windows
And setting fire to this life
She could change everything about her
Using colors bold and bright
But all the colors mix together
To Grey
And it breaks her heart
Oh it breaks her heart
To Grey

The crummy weather we've been having is making me feel blah too...
Yeah the weather brings ya down a bit. When the sun comes out for a second you think "bright...must...bask...and regenerate!"
Seriously Amy, I don't know you, but we've been reading and posting on each others blogs for a few weeks now and I just want to say that the long distance thing is tough, but I am rooting for you and Justin! So be happy, everything will be fine!:)
